How do I answer a question from Batch Management from OMI, now that Batch controls are no longer supported when using OMI as user interface?

Apologies for my late response as I was out of office. There is no stateless API for the questions part because those are to be handled from regulatory perspetive with often a Done by/Check by verifications. Thus is only implemented on the UI and intentionally not exposed through the Stateless APIs.

I am still struggling to understand how to implement Batch Management with OMI as UI, when the controls that worked using InTouch as UI are no longer supported when using OMI.

Are there any recommendations from AVEVA on how to implement a Batch Management interface using OMI as UI, where operators can operate as when using InTouch?

Batch has equivalent list of OMI controls like it has for InTouch. You can build your OMI screen using them. Refer to the details here https://docs.aveva.com/bundle/batch-management/page/724642.html
