Converting InTouch Projects with Alarm/Trend Clients

Hi,

Our site has a lot of older Intouch projects that have embedded industrial graphics in them. These graphics have alarm and trend clients embedded in them that are shown as popups when items are clicked on. From my research, OMI doesn't work with .net objects embedded into the graphics.

What options do I have then? Having a separate pane in the layout with an alarm/trend client isn't really suitable. I am new to OMI and I'm not sure on how I can fix this issue without a complete revamp of the projects. Which is frustrating as one of our projects is slow and prone to crashes with Intouch, but from my testing of it in OMI shows a big performance gain.

Hi,

yes .NET object do not work with Intouch OMI.

However, you can use APP to replace .NET symbols on Intouch HMI.

You can directly add it with a drag and drop on the pane in the layout.

Alarm and Trend client are available in APP format

Hi,

Yes I'm aware of that. I was hoping there might be some way to avoid having to do this as pretty much all motors, and process variables on this line use a popup for trending and alarms. I guess I'll have to make a custom trend graphic using trend pens (like the spark charts) and script the x/y axis values etc....
