alarm manager not connecting to localhost

Hi,

I have a problem with the Alarm control app. The alarm control app does not show current alarms in my newest OMI app, I believe this is not a configurations issue as I deployed a very similar OMI project I made from scratch and the issue did not persist.

Looking at the logs when I have my OMI app open this what I notice

The alarm manager attempts to connect to the galaxy and fails.

I tried my other OMI app and this alarm manager connections works instantly and the alarm app displays the current alarms. What could be hindering this in my newer OMI? I have security as None,

Kind regards,

Fróði

  • Hi Fróði

It would be interesting to compare the Alarm Statistics on both Applications.
What is your actual alarm Query, and does it connect.

In Runtime, right click on your alarm window, select Statistics.

What do the list show? At least you can verify that no logic is effecting your query.

0 Percent indicates Not connected to an active alarm provider.

You claim it works in your other OMI app, so this step might be redundant, as long as they are tested on the same node, but the Query should connect to a server with a platform deployed that has Enable InTouch alarm provider selected.

    My config

This should result in a successful connection in Alarm Statistics

Status Bar also reflect connection status (100% Complete)

If needed you can add node name in the query. (localhost will also work).

If all this is correct then it gets more of a challenge Slight smile

  • Hi again Richard,

As usual your very informed instructions have fixed the problem. I though the OMI apps were identical but the WinPlatform was not configured to be an Intouch Alarm Provider in the newer one.

    now queries are 100% successful

Thank you for your wisdom Slight smile
