Device Format Definition

Hello All,

We need to use Custom 1 data field in the device format (logging alarm).

{DATE,12}^t{TIME,8}^t{MILLISEC,3}^t{TAG,25}^t{NAME,20}^t{AREA,20}^t{DESC_,43}^t{CATEGORY,10}^t{STATE,10}^t{TYPE,20}^t{CUSTOM1,5}

The device format definition is limited to 120 chars. There is an away to solve this issue?

  • Ah, whoops, I misunderstood your question. My comment was more having a dig at some of the frustrations of using Citect, not at your experience level with the product. The alarm fields do however still have a character limit when displayed, which is what I thought you were talking about.
