Using Plant SCADA 2023 R2. We are switching from ABCLX to using the OPCUA client driver with FT Linx Gateway as the server. Once a graphics page is opened, and the tags on the page are subscribed, the data updates quickly and works great. The challenge we are having is that when opening a graphics page or popup for the first time has a delay before live data populates. My understanding is that the tags that are not actively subscribed and so there is a delay before live data can be populated.
I am hoping to find the right tuning parameters, or configuration, to allow for faster graphics response. I have manipulated the handful of parameters documented in the, OPCUA, driver documentation but nothing seems to help speed up the loading of data on the popups. The data loading is especially slow to load on multi monitor clients. The more monitors the worse the performance is.
Are there other tuning parameters, cicode functions, and or configurations to improve graphics performance and variable tag data availability for OPC UA? The picture attached is what the popups look like until data is available and loaded. They can sit like this for a few seconds, which seems like an eternity while you are waiting for it.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
