Why doesn't backfilling AF Analysis resend AF Notification?

We have an event-frame generation analysis that triggers a notification rule and sends out a daily report. Some data was incorrect for a prior date, and I would like to regenerate the notification after correcting the data. However when I backfill the analysis for the selected date, the notification won't send again. I have noticed in the past that this sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

 

I have tried deleting the event frame for the date in question by doing an event frame search and then selecting "Delete". I have also used the Preview Results feature to confirm that the analysis backfill still recognizes the event frame start trigger. Is there perhaps a notification cache somewhere on the AF server I need to delete to make this work?

    Hi,

    It depends on the Event Frame start time and the rules are as follows:

    • If the backfilled event frame was opened within the last 72 hours, a notification will be sent, regardless of whether the event frame has closed or not.
    • If the backfilled event frame was opened more than 72 hours ago and is still open, a notification will be sent.
    • If the backfilled event frame was opened more than 72 hours ago and has closed, a notification will not be sent.
    • If the backfilled event frame was opened before an event frame for which a notification has already been sent, a notification will not be sent for the older event frame.
