Easy way to setup PI notifications to send text messages instead of emails?

We have a client that has recently switched telco provider and they have lost the ability to receive email to text service as the telco no longer offers it.

Looking for a way to setup email (pi notification) to text, if possible, without having to use a 3rd party SMS gateway.

    Amitec has an offering called SMS Notification for PI AF, and we've had that since 2009 - when we noticed european carriers started discontinuing their email-to-SMS services. The product is still popular, and we see that from 2024 we're getting an increased number of requests from US companies, because now the American carriers are also starting to shut down this service.

    The product is installed in your AF Server, and utilizes the Webservice Delivery Channel (as opposed to the default Email DC) to send messages through the communication API provider we use.
