"OpenService. Error 5:Access is denied" and "Unable to set maxstoptime parameter, cannot open service wrapper" Program:Mon1 in PI ICU

Hi, I’m encountering the following errors on our PI ICU server (which only has PerfMon1 installed) after upgrading from Windows Server 2019 to 2022 Standard—and both the buffer subsystem and PIPerfMon are running under local accounts:

  • “OpenService. Error 5: Access is denied”
  • “Unable to set maxstoptime parameter, cannot open service wrapper”

I couldn’t find any solution in OSIsoft’s knowledge base. Has anyone experienced this issue after upgrading, especially with services like PerfMon1 running under Local Service or Local System? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated—thanks!

 

Tried 1 KB might related but still doesnt work: Knowledge

 

Then in PI Data Archive PI Trusts pibufss.exe and pipeE.exe are already added.
