One out of many users cannot see data in PI Vision displays

One of my users can open PI Vision displays but sees 'No data' for all data points in all the displays. Everyone else can see data in the same displays just fine.

The user's password has not expired, I have checked all the mappings in PI AF, I have even removed and added the user to the AF groups. I see the effects when I remove her and when I add her back, but still no data either way. They cannot find tags when they search in PI Vision. They can find and pull data for the same tags in PI Datalink. User is in the same PI AF and Windows AD group as everyone else. No one else has this issue.

I have had them log on to a new computer to rule out any issues on their own laptop.

Can anyone help please?

  • If the user is in the same AD group as other users, where Vision does work, and the user is able to get the same data through DataLink, then it's likely that your Vision->DA setup isn't correct. This would be mask issues further if you have two servers and a load balancer (ie. two servers would make it seem more isolated than it truly is). If you're using Kerberos delegation, then it's likely that you're missing an SPN or a delegation.
