Since my PI Admin upgraded from OSIsoft PI Vision to the new AVEVA PI Vision 2022, I and many users frequently face issues with calculation values displaying "Calc Failed", "No data" or "Bad". However, when we click to see the trend, it displays the value normally, which the old OSIsoft PI Vision never had this issue.
My PI Admin acknowledged this since June 2024, but no real progress has been made. We recently discovered that the root cause is the PI time being too close to the current time when we click "Now". This causes errors because sometimes it tries to receive values from the future, whereas the old OSIsoft PI Vision had the PI time slower than the current time by almost 1 minute.
Currently, when we click "Now" and face this issue, we type "*-30s" into the PI time to make it receive values from the past 30 seconds and display the calculation value normally. I don't understand why my PI Admin and the vendor can't fix this. I only know that they have tried to restart the server at 00:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. every day since July 2024, and it helps nothing. I hope that the PI Square can provide an answer.
