I am encountering an issue where the PI Connector for Wonderware Historian is unable to connect to the data source. The error message indicates:
"Wonderware Historian SDK Custom Error Type: Wonderware Error (Unknown client)".
The details of my configuration and the steps I’ve taken so far is shown in the given attached images
Steps Taken:
- Verified that the credentials (username and password) for both pcs\aveva_admin and pcs\aveva_svc are correct.
- Confirmed network connectivity between the PI Connector machine and the Wonderware Historian server (PDSMSP) using ping and telnet
- Checked firewall settings to ensure port 32568 is open.
- Restarted both the PI Connector service and the Wonderware Historian service.
- Reviewed logs for additional error details but found no further clues.
