Manual data entry tool?

We are a medium sized wastewater treatment plant which just implemented Rockwell's Factorytalk SE Historian 8.00 which seems to be a licensed version of PI. The application works great for PLC data collection. We were wondering if there is a tool available that provides for manual data entry. We store a lot of lab test data in spreadsheets. Storing the data in the historian may simplify data retrieval.

I've seen the Mobile Manual Data Entry tool but information is sparse and seems dated.

Hello Andrew,
Did you get a solution to your problem? I had a similar problem two years ago and the solution was to input the data using the FactoryTalk HMI (input form). All data (real time and manual) was sent to an OPC server and I pulled this into the PI archive.

We thought about using the HMI to input data but decided against it due to costs. We went with an Access solution. A manual data input form in a standalone Access DB. The DB sits on the Historian and is easily available. Not the most sophisticated but it works and staff has the skills to administer it.
