How can I set up an event frame with manual data entry capabilities?

Maybe an employee or customer support could provide a more detailed answer from what I'm about to give, but here's what I know. "Properties" of AF Attributes are more descriptive than anything. Some of them, like "Configuration Item" do change the way the AF Service actually handles the Attributes though.

Now, I do see why you would think that you could enter data for a "Manual Data Entry" point via PI Vision with that flag enabled (Manual Data Entry attribute property (aveva.com)), however, entering data through PI Vision is not a feature and may not get developed despite the support for it. That being said, based on the documentation link I provided, I would like to know (from AVEVA) how that is supposed to affect Attributes displayed in PI Vision. I tried all of the default symbols, and I do not see where that flag causes the user to know that it is a manual point.

Hey Miles, as Tyler from Mainely said there is currently not "Manual Data Entry" feature available in PI Vision. One solution for that might be the usage of custom symbols. One example is our manual data entry symbol: Werusys PI Vision Suite: Manual Data Entry - werusys
