How many PI backups do you keep?

We typically restore from the last PI backup job if we have to do an emergency rebuild.

We may have to go back a bit further and choose a different backup, but it's usually the last backup that we refer to.

 

My question is, how many months of PI backups do you keep?

    Factors depend on your organization and business. In general, there really isn't much of a need to keep more than 30 days. It'll also reduce storage costs for trying to keep 60-90 days worth of backups.

     

    Depending on your system, you can even do full server backup and not utilize the individual PI Server backup, or you can combo both with priority of using the server backup and failing back to the individual backup should there be an issue.
