I've already tried the obvious stuff like File\Options\Add-ins (to add the Excel and COM Add-ins). Sometimes, after checking the checkbox, they stay checked ... sometimes not. I've even looked through the Registry, and PI DataLink is there! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling (even an older version 15 as a sanity check)! I've tried uninstalling everything, installing PI ProcessBook first, then PI DataLink (even though I didn't have to do this on any other machine)!
Here's the "kicker" : I discovered if I log into this co-worker's machine using my credentials ... the PI DataLink Menu option is there (and it works). So this appears to be related to his login credentials?? Could that be true? This is his personal work machine that he uses successfully for everything else work-related ...
And while I've got someone's ear here ... why can't I get any PI product to work with Windows 11? Is this due to the way Logins are Authenticated? I've given up on this for now ... but pretty soon, IT will start rolling out the Windows 11 machines, and PI will no longer be usable here! I've already tried adding new "PI Trusts" (like I previously had to with Windows 10) ... using email address login names (which Windows 11 now uses?) ... but it didn't work.
