Tag value not updating in PI System Management Tools when tag is created

Whenever I upload a tag list on PI Connector for OPC UA and create the tags in Pi System Management Tools, it takes too much time (2-3 mins if there are less than 100 tags, several hours if there are upto 500 tags & days if there are more than 500 tags.) to start showing a current value. Until then it shows "Pt created".

Does anyone know why this takes too much time to start showing tag value after the tag is created ?

The "Pt created" stays until your data source sends a value.
You will have to look at your data source.

I checked my data source (KEPServer), it is continuously updating the values.
when I upload the 500 tag lists in the batches of 100 each, it works fine & tag starts receiving value immediately. but i have to upload the tag list 5 times appending 100 tag tags each time.

We don't have any problems creating hundreds of tags using the AF SDK or OMF via Web API. A few years ago OMF still used a PI Connector, and we didn't have any problems creating hundreds of tags at a time there.
However, I don't have any experience with the PI Connector for OPC UA, so I can't really help you there. You might have to check some logs to figure out what is happening there.
