How can I use the Value Retrieval Method Total within an Event Frame Template?

I am trying to use the Value Retrieval Method 'Total' in an event frame template but continue to run into the error "The TimeRangeMethod 'Total' cannot be combined with Time support. UOM could be different."

I believe if I use any other time mode it will not capture the Start and End time of the Event Frame. I know I can instead use an Output Expression in the Event Frame Generation Analysis, but was hoping to use the simpler PI Point Data Reference instead. Any thoughts?

AndrePerez For an Event Frame to totalize over the duration the By Time method should be Not Support so the EF start and end time can be used. This is explained here: https://customers.osisoft.com/s…

Does this mean if we use a value retrieval like Average with Time Retrieval Automatic it will use something other than the EF start and end time?
