AWS RDS for AF server?

Hi,

We are now considering the PI system on AWS.

AWS RDS has MS SQL, so now we are researching whether AWS RDS can be used for the AF server or PI Vision server.

Is that possible to use RDS for AF server, PI Vision server?

We do not support using a DBaaS (Azure, Amazon RDS, etc.) for the backend database for PI AF (and also PI Vision).

The best option is to use SQL Server on an IaaS VM in AWS EC2. Please see this talk if you are interested.
