Integrate Maximo hierarchy with PI AF hierarchy.

I need to integrate Maximo hierarchy with PI AF hierarchy. It should automatic create & refresh whenever new data update in Maximo. Which is best method to integrate ?

The only solution that meets these criteria that I can think of is to create a custom application that reads the Maximo hierarchy and then uses AF SDK or PI Web API calls to create the corresponding objects in AF.
