What's the difference between Management plug in and AF Collective Manager? When installing PI AF client these items are automatically disable. What if we enable them? Thank you!

Both these options are disabled by default because they are not required by "normal users" or to phrase it the other way, these 2 items are administrator applications.

PI AF Collective Manager is needed to form an AF Collective from multiple independent AF Server installations. AF Server Collective is a High Availability option. Please refer to High Availability (HA) options for PI Asset Framework (PI AF)

The Management Plug-in for PI System Explorer (PSE) is to maintain PI Analysis Service and PI Notification Service. Please refer to Management plug-in in PI System Explorer

Management plug-in allow you to see and manage the analyses using PI System Explorer.

AF Collective Manager allow you to control and manage AF in a collective environment; a collective is more than one server to share the load, they are accessed using the collective name.

Installing or not has no affect on the AF system; it merely allows you administrator access.
