How to scale a result that is a % for example to be between two limits ? PI AF analysis

How to scale a result that is a % for example to be between two limits in PI AF analysis .. for example, I want the percentaghe result to be (0, 80) so if I got 90% ; in scale (0 to 80) this will be 70% not 90%. So my new 100% is 80% basically ...Let me know if you need more elaboration on this.

Thank you in advance

  • As (Missing Content) stated, we would like to see what you have attempted.

In general, to rescale or transform to a different coordinate system, you would need to know:

    (1) the original scale, e.g. 0 - 100,

    (2) a value in the original scale, e.g. 90, and

    (3) the new scale, e.g. 0 - 80.

That said, I do not think 90% on an original scale of 0 - 100% would be 70% in a new scale of 0 - 80%. I think the proper calculation would be 72%.
