One Machine, Many Interfaces!

Hi everybody!

It is possible to have different types of Interfaces running on the same machine?

Kind regards,

  • Yes, you can have multiple different types of PI Interfaces running on the same machine. You can also have multiple instances of the same PI Interface running on the same machine. You can manage all of your instances of PI Interfaces through the PI Interface Configuration Utility (PI ICU).

Also, many PI Interfaces have been succeeded by an equivalent PI Connector. Rather than having instances, PI Connectors let you set up multiple data sources. You can have multiple different PI Connectors on the same machine as well and you can even manage them remotely.
