How to collect data from a PI Point and relate it to another PI Point?

I'd like to know if it's possible and, if so, how to capture information from one PI Point according to the result of another. 

The idea would be to have the characteristic of a product over time, but that product is not continuously produced. Here's an example:

"If Product Produced = Product 1, then collect information about Solubility. If not, do not collect"

In this example, Product Produced is a PI Point, as is Solubility (being the characteristic you want to save while Product 1 is being produced).
