Image Upload per Asset in PI Vision Based on Element Template

First of all, thank you for your response!

On one hand, I don’t have experience with programming a custom symbol. Could you recommend any documentation or resources where I can learn how to create one?

On the other hand, my requirement is slightly different from a multistate setup. What I need is for the image to change automatically when I switch the asset root in the display. Just like how all the values change to the selected element, I would like the image to update as well. I assume this would involve adding an attribute in PI AF that references the image, or something along those lines.

Only way i know is through custom symbol,

you can have an attribute with unique value for each asset and using that assign image to each value in your code.

As long as display follows asset switching concept, images will also change on screen.
