It is expected that AVEVA Process Simulation (APS) to realize a new digital twin will be introduced in the PI Server environment that is already in production. APS is known to be using the PI Web API, and we would like to collect compatibility information first to confirm whether APS works properly with the PI Web API installed on the existing PI Server when deploying APS.
while I claim having good PI System knowledge, I also just rely on publicly available information about AVEVA Process Simulation (APS). According to the APS Data Sheet the connection to the AVEVA PI System is "native". I suggest raising the question which PI Developer Technology is used to your contacts at AVEVA for APS.
Actually I'm not the expert on APS. From my read on the APS application guide, I believe APS uses AF SDK (perhaps already included?) but I'm not certain. Please check to the actual application guide closely.
