It's difficult to explain this without information about how you query the data.
If this data comes from PI Vision (scope.symbol.DataSources), please map the same data point into a normal PI Vision Trend symbol and examine the data there as well. Unless you apply some sort of compression algorithm yourself, the two should have the same data.
