PI Vision crashes while integrating 3rd party external libraries

Hi everyone,

We are intending to use 3rd party library e.g. W2UI into ext for creating custom symbols.

Once, we copy the library files w2ui-2.0.es6.min.js / w2ui-2.0.min.js / w2ui-2.0.min.css into the directory ..\PIPC\PIVision\Scripts\app\ext\libraries pi vision then crashes.

Any idea why pi vision crashes once we add these files into ext directory? or what is needed to be done in order integrate it into pi vision.

If PI Vision crashes when you import a library, then it's not compatible. You're going to find that most 3rd party libraries (like Bootstrap or that UI there) cannot be directly imported.

Hi User16861283022649723153, this happens when the javascript version that is used in the file is not supported. There are tools online to change the version of a file, you can drop us a message here, we are happy to help: PI Vision Custom Symbols Library
