PI Vision 2023

Hi Igor, In our Werusys PI Vision Suite we have added a functionality that imports a defined set of custom SVGs to PI Vision. If the SVGs are removed during a PI Vision upgrade our PI Vision Suite backend takes care of that and readds them again.

So there are no folders associated with .SVGs anymore? I wanted to use ProcessBook as a developer tool for screens. The WebUI is too slow to edit 1000s of dashboards. ProcessBook is nice because saving as an SVG allows you to mass change variables such as colors, links, etc using something like NOTEPAD++ find and replace all. I hope you AVEVA guys read this and put the ProcessBook/SVG support back into PI VISION. It makes no sense to remove such a great way to develop dashboard screens. Terrible direction this company is going in. No thought just cutting costs I guess.

Remember, allowing the usage of ProcessBook displays in PI Vision was a work-around to allow end-users to convert their existing displays to the new platform. ProcessBook is a deprecated product and will not be re-introduced into PI Vision. There are companies that offer solutions / workflows for converting ProcessBook displays into native PI Vision displays (while helping to convert existing custom functionality).

That being said, the data is (mostly) exposed as XML in which it could be modified. But it would be beneficial to have an official mechanism to bulk edit displays.
