System Requirements

I am beginning my course Developing Applications with PI AF SDK today. I understand there's no VLE for this course, and that the pre-requisites states r/w access to a live PI environment. I would like to understand the implication of Write access on PI (actual) data.

This is addressed here. Bottom line: you will need to create 30 PI points for Exercise 1 and 3 more for Exercise 5. The only possible conflict may be if co-workers are also taking the course at the same time. These points will not generate a lot of data and you may delete these points later.
