Hi, I'm courious if it is possible to export scripts from IDE-manged intouch application?

I have template derivied from $InTouchViewApp, when I open it I see some datachange, condition and quickfunction scripts. How can I export them and then import to another intouch template?

  • Hi Michal,

In your new $InTouchViewApp template, select the Menu | ImportWindows & Scripts

    Navigate to your source application.

The default location for all applications in your galaxy is:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\ArchestrA\Framework\FileRepository\<galaxy name>\ObjectFileStorage\<$ApplicationName>\CheckedIn

    Click Ok

Now you are prompted to select the things you want to import.

Note: If you are referring to InTouch tags in your Windows or scripts, and you know these tags exists already, check the 'Use existing tags' checkbox, otherwise you have to re link them by using the convert - local function in the script.

And as a side note, perhaps not advised in your specific scenario (since you can not import this file), but you can also use the Print function and export your scripts to a text file, great for simple script backups, bulk search or documentation.

  • Hi Richard,

That's the second time you've come through with exactly the solution I needed.

I really appreciate it – thank you very much for your help!

    All the best,
    Michal
