Hello All,

Hello All,

We have a failover pair of OPC interface. UFO type is Hot. Both interface connected with primary DA member of collectives.

In below snippet, blue has Failover ID=1 and orange has failover ID=2. We can see that blue one went to Backup_No_PI state for a moment then came back to Backup state. but the same not happened with orange trend. Orange trend kept in Backup_No_PI state for long time.

Q1. Can interface failover successfully If interface remains in Backup_No_PI state?

Q2. What was the possible reason behind orange trend could not come out of Backup_No_PI state?

Please let us know if you need more information.

  • Hi ,

I'd say that the message logs from both nodes should be examined.

Backup_No_PI means that it couldn't connect to the Data Archive. So this goes against your description. Please check if this node had any network issues around then.

The FailoverID=1 instance then should have taken over the primary role. It was unable from the look of the trend graph. Please check if both interface instance had access to modify the shared file.
