How to collect point data from OSISoft PI software using OPC UA?

May I understand it this way: PI OPC DA/HDA Server is a built-in service of the pi system and the PI System can directly serve as an OPC DA server to provide data by PI OPC DA/HDA Server.

Is there any reference material available on the official website for the PI System OPC DA server? Thanks very much : )

At the moment, there is no PI OPC UA Server to expose PI Data to OPC UA standards. Please vote for this enhancement request. Introduce a PI OPC UA Server | AVEVA PI System Feedback Portal

The current workaround is to use the PI OPC DA Server or PI OPC HDA Server with a third-party OPC UA wrapper.

It's a separate component that you'll need to install on a separate or on the same machine as DA. ​For documentation, please try searching for 'PI OPC DA Server' user guide.

I've done it.

I wrote an OSI PI AF datapipe driver for an opc server (Milo which is a part of Ignition).

If i had to do it again, I'd probably write an AF Datapipe to MQTT, then use that to write to an OPC server.

Or read MQTT directly.
