How to collect point data from OSISoft PI software using OPC UA?

According to my understanding, it is possible to retrieve real-time values of points from the PI System using the PI Web API or SDK. My question is: Can data be retrieved from the PI System using the OPC UA protocol? For example, sending points from the PI Server to an OPC UA server, and then reading the data from the OPC UA server in my application.

May I understand it this way: PI OPC DA/HDA Server is a built-in service of the pi system and the PI System can directly serve as an OPC DA server to provide data by PI OPC DA/HDA Server.
Is there any reference material available on the official website for the PI System OPC DA server? Thanks very much : )
